Fascination about things happening in the world and inquisitiveness to understand how things work motivated me to pursue science. The way atoms and molecules interact and form the world around us captivated my interest to pursue chemistry. Pursuing research in chemistry allows me to explore and chase a green, efficient and sustainable catalytic approach towards challenging transformations.
Research Skill-Set
Airfree Inorganic Synthesis: Design, synthesis and characterization
of 3d base transition metal complexes with redox active non-innocent
ligands employing Glovebox and Schlenk line techniques.
Spectroscopic Techniques: NMR spectroscopy, Mass
Spectrometry, Gas Chromatography coupled with Mass Spectrometry
(GC-MS), UV-Vis Spectroscopy, Potentiostat (Cyclic Voltametry),
UV-Vis Spectroscopy, Fluorescence Spectroscopy, FT-IR Spectroscopy,
Life time measurement (TCSPC).
Mechanistic Elucidation: Temperature-dependent kinetic measurements,
non-linear curve fitting and spectroscopic analysis for mechanistic insights.
Homogenous photocatalysis: Development of photoactive redox-active
ligands envisioned to work in tandem with 3d base metals carrying out
organic transformations under visible light conditions.
